I hate it when parts of the pictures don’t turn out. It looks like a nice sunny afternoon, but it was snowing really hard! Of course, the snowflakes aren’t visible in the picture. At least the sky is still pretty. And no, I wasn’t driving while photographing… *cough*

My mom will hate me for posting this picture, but I can’t resist. Killian LOVES ice cubes, and after my mom gave him one, he figured out where she got it from and decided to just help himself. He was sitting on the other side of the couch, and suddenly he lunged over there and just dove right into her glass!

The wrapper from a Dove chocolate yesterday. “Love without rules.” I just loved that… we may not all know how to do that, but I guarantee, our hearts already do! Haven’t you ever found yourself falling for someone who was unavailable? Too young, too old, just not “right”. You may have known very well that a person was completely wrong for you, but it didn’t convince your heart not to love them, did it? And maybe it shouldn’t have to. I’ve loved people who weren’t right for me, and I don’t regret it. There’s enough pain and apathy in the world as it is… more love is always a good thing. (Assuming you realize that loving someone doesn’t always mean being with someone.)

Some friends of mine from college have a band called the Sidewalk Prophets. They have a song that says “There is love enough to cover up this whole wide earth.”

Okay… this obviously isn’t working for me, but I’m trying to figure out how to MAKE it work. I really do like the idea of Photo-A-Day, but the thought of not only TAKING pictures everyday, but also downloading them from the camera then uploading them online, and then posting them over here… well, it’s just kind of overwhelming. I think I’d like to give myself permission to use the “Post Timestamp” feature here on Wordpress. Maybe I’ll come once or twice a week and post-date pictures… how does that sound?
I just know that I genuinely want to take more pictures, and share more pictures with you. There are also other photo projects I’d like to try out other than Photo-A-Day, but I hesitate to jump in when I haven’t even been doing THIS consistently. I guess we’ll just have to try it and see how it goes!

Killian gets plenty of face time on my blogs, so I thought today would be a good day to get a picture of Aiden up here. He was too adorable in his little puppy hat, pretending to drive the car!

Today I wanted to share a picture that is a week old now, but still makes me smile. How could you not smile looking at this face?

Today is my mom’s birthday. Since I don’t have a picture of her to share (she’d kill me), I thought I’d share a picture with her birthday present in the background lol On Sunday I cooked lunch for Mom, Harold and Grandma and used my card table for the first time (for something other than wrapping presents). I also used my new place mats which are gorgeous and folded in half because a card table is too small for four full sized place mats!

It’s snowing here in Indiana, and I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m hoping for a snow day tomorrow! A lot of schools and businesses have already announced their closing.

It took him a bit, but after he got some practice, I think Killian really started to get that unwrapping presents thing figured out! The attention span, not so much… and definitely didn’t appreciate us taking the toys away to open something new!
